We want to show how all of us can benefit from community-scale renewable energy and energy efficiency projects. Therefore, we set out to identify models that both hold promise for replication throughout the country and models where communities of color are innovating to take on particular challenges that they often face.

Under the “who” option, you can choose to specifically look for projects under two categories:  Community of color led and non-community of color led.

Community of Color-led projects can be projects where people of color are owners, operators, or directors of a project.  And/or these projects include people of color in decision-making and implementation processes.

Non-community of color-led projects can be projects where White communities are predominantly the owners, operators, or directors of a project.  These projects may benefit communities of color, but leadership and ownership by people of color is not an explicitly stated intention or goal.
